Prime Minister assures make sincere efforts to address all grievances of Baloch people

Karachi, May 8 PPI: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on Saturday assured to make sincere efforts in order to address all grievances of the people of Balochistan.

He said this while talking to veteran political leader and former Balochistan Chief Minister Sardar Attaullah Mengal. During the meeting at the residence of Sardar Attaullah Mengal in Karachi, they discussed issues relating to Balochistan.

Prime Minister later told newsmen that problems of the people of Balochistan would be addressed to bring them into mainstream. Gilani said he had directed the concerned authorities to remove the names of all Baloch leaders from Exit Control List ECL.


Acting Governor Sindh Nisar Ahmed Khuhro and PPP MNA Ghan Talpur accompanied the Prime Minister in meeting with Sardar Mengal.

KARACHI, May 08 (INP): Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, in an unexpected move, met former Chief Minister of Balochistan Sardar Attaullah Mengal at his residence here on Saturday.


They discussed prevailing situation of Balochistan, increase in incidents of target killings and overall political situation in the meeting.


During the meeting the Prime Minister assured to address all reservations of Balochi people and remove names of all Baloch leaders from the Exit Control List (ECL).
The Prime Minister urged Sardar Attaullah to cooperate with government for improving law and orders situation in the province.


Talking to media persons after meeting with the Prime Minister, Sardar Attaullah  Mengal said that he told the Prime Minister that Baloch people have been target of killings and government has become helpless for arresting the murders. He said great injustices have been done to Baloch people and the government should immediately compensate them.


He said that during the meeting he told the Prime Minister that instead of wasting time in meetings, he should order the concerned authorities to ensure law and order  and take immediate action against the culprits.


Sardar Attaullah Mengal said large number of Baloch people had been kidnapped and still they are missing. He asked Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani to play his role for securing their release so that he with the help of others leaders could play a role for improving law and order situation.
