QUETTA:“The people who supported frequent army-operation in Balochistan cannot be expected to dissolve Balochistan issues. Those sought apologies from Baloch people again and subjected them for tyrannies and they always let loose unpunished.” These views expressed by former chief minister of Balochistan and chief of BNP Sardar Akhter Jan Mengal in a telephonic conversation from Dubai.
Further he said that it was an open secret that after forced inclusion of Balochistan in Pakistan the Balochi people never met an appropriate treatment and subjected to military operation again and again resulting martyrdoms of Baloch people. Inspite of all these tyrannies the government of Pakistan expected slogan of Pakistan Zindabad from Balochi people. The present precarious situation in Balochistan was not a new one but Balochi people witnessing it for the last 62 years. Every incumbent government belamed departed government for tyrannies on Balochs but every one continued this nefarious chain of oppression and tyrannies. After forced accession of Balochistan Balochs never got an appropriate treatment from government of Pakistan but subjected to frequent military operation. Every coming government seeks apologies from Balochs but till today not a single culprit was punished.
Incumben chief minister had himself confessed that a parallel government was running in Balochistan . Where an elected chief minister met so undignified treatment how one can expect better treatment with a layman in Balochistan. Not a single person punished for subjecting Balochs then how could be built the confidence of them. After 30 years killers of Mujeebur Rehman got punishment in Bangladesh then why not in Pakistan. A society based on unjust and tyranny cannot stand for long.
Upon a question he said that Balochistan situated at a very strategic point and all foreign nations like USA, China are interested in it but none of them pressed government of Pakistan to release due rights to Baloch people. The fact is that the government in Islamabad never shown honesty to give due rights to Balochs. Further he said we were making political struggles to achieve our due rights and he supported struggle of insurgents as they were fighting for dignity of Balochi-people. We expect that no one would object our struggles.
