Quetta 25 march 2010: President of the Balochistan National Party (BNP) Sardar Akhtar Mengal , has called for Baloch unity at this crucial juncture where the Baloch traditions and customs are trampled down. In this message to the District Convention of the Party in Quetta in relation Baloch Day on Wednesday, he said that Balochistan in Passing through a crucial period where unity of the Bloch people is vital.
The BNP President said that Balochistan is facing a state of war against its people and the state functionaries are involved in extrajudicial killings ,indiscriminate arrest, enforced disappearances of the political opponents.
Sardar Akhtar Mengal said that the present Government was continuing the policies of General Pervez Musharraf claiming that the Government had virtually intensified the operations against the political opponents . He claimed that the democratic Government was involved in ethnic cleansing and genocide of Baloch people.
The BNP President urged the youth to get ready and face all aggressive policies of the Government for their right of self determination he also criticized the security forces claiming that the forces were involved illegal action and trying to suppress the legitimate aspirations of the Baloch people.
He congratulated the newly elected office-bearers of Quetta Party saying that they had accepted a serious challenge to defend the Baloch rights at this crucial moment of the history .
They have to follow the footprints of martyrs who sacrificed their lives for Balochistan and its people .they have to create a greater awareness about the Baloch rights till the final victory .
Dr jehanzeb jamaldini Mr. Habib Jalib. Agha Hassan Baloch Advocate and other top party leaders also addressed the gathering pledging to continue their struggle till achieving the right of self determination of the Bloch people. they said that Baloch people would never accept slavery in any phase of the Baloch history and the would continue their struggle for their just national rights .
They criticized the Government say that is misleading the would public opinion by telling lies. There was no change in the lives of the common people, price spiral is rampant, power outages are normal routine and mass unemployment of youth is felt by the educated people .
They also claimed that the government t and its functionaries are patronizing society and considering Taliban as their strategic assets. At they same time the state functionaries are also promoting religious intolerance, fanaticism and extremism as a policy of the Pakistani State.
